UPDATE: Report is now online
The mayor of Atlanta has now seen the APS cheating report and proclaimed, there is no question that a complete failure of leadership in the Atlanta Public School system hurt thousands of children who were promoted to the next grade without meeting basic academic standards.”
Why not let the public read the report for themselves?
Its bizarre to me that Atlanta parents are relegated to the sidelines in this important matter. They are left to listen to the reactions of Mayor Reed, Interim Superintendent Erroll Davis and Gov. Nathan Deal, all of whom are far removed from the cheating scandal compared to the parents in the system.
Let parents form their own reactions. Let them see the report that tax dollars paid for and I suspect the costs for the time of two noted prosecutors did not come cheap.
What is the delay in releasing this report to the public?
